Songs for World Peace

The global environment can survive only if we learn to live in peace and harmony with our fellow human beings. At the same time, as Dr. Jane Goodall says, "To achieve global peace, we must not only stop fighting each other but also stop destroying the natural world.".

Life is like a candle.

It burns, burns and burns and gives lights to others,

And goes down and down until finished,

And leaves a good example in world.

Life goes down and down every second.

Are we giving light to others?
Are we leaving good examples?
Are we leaving a bright name?

From YUBUPA:

The Nightmare wasn’t a Dream at all

I had a dream
A very bad dream
where little kids were sad
Hunger let them beg
Thirst let them drink what ever they found
Tired , little kids had no  home or no house
Poor little ones full of dirt
Dressed in rags
Eyes which tells you a story which is sad

Suddenly a big shining car passed by
Stepped out was a family in shining clothes
What a  difference
What a  world
Not even a minute was spent
To pay attention on these little  kids

These little kids had not even a place to rest
Their little eyes begged me for HELP

I woke up and realized that wasn't  a night mare  but reality
Reality which I cannot change  but  help the needy

If everyone of us would carry a part of these crosses in the world
This world would become a better place for each and everyone.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"THE REALITY is not always VISIBLE"

WHAT YOU DO NOT SEE NOW
OR CANNOT HEAR NOW DOESN'T MEAN THAT "THAT DOESN't EXIST"
WE CANNOT SEE GOD AND STILL WE BELIVE IN HIM
WHAT I AM TRYING TO SAY IS THAT,
WE CANNOT CLOSE OUR EYES JUST BECAUSE WE DO NOT KNOW OR SEE OR HEAR WHAT IS GOING ON IN THIS WORLD
WE CANNOT IGNORE JUST BECAUSE WE DO NOT HEAR THE FACTS IN WORLD LATEST NEWS
WE CANNOT ALSO SAY THIS OR THAT CROSS IS TOO HEAVY FOR US TO CARRY
WE  CANNOT CHANGE THE REALITY BUT WE CAN MAKE IT EASIER TO HANDLE IF WE ALL WOULD HELP EACH OTHER

NEVER FORGET!! WHAT YOU CANNOT SEE DOESN'T MEAN "IT DOESN'T EXIST"

Let's dream, plan and Do for a better world...
Let's make the year 2008 witness of our successful endeavors...
Let peace prevail as long as humanity...
Let's decorate the earth with joy and colors.

Come and pray to grow and succeed...
Think of humanity, talk for loyalty and faith.
Grow stronger to help the self and to help others…
A New beginning, a fresh thinking, a gentle breeze for better breath..
The new year beholds a lot of happiness and ever lasting joy.

CRY FOR OUR BELOVED KENYA: A Poem in 10 Languages

Light a Candle for Peace

UNITY across DIVERSITY

In time of need,
There is a deed,
Each of us can do:
Light a candle
All can heed.
It is a statement
No one can deny.
The wish is out
In 48 hours, but
ACTION IS POSSIBLE
Keep the candles
Alive with FLAME
RELIGHTING anew
As a SYMBOL for
ALL to know
Our will to PEACE
NEVER will cease.
May Peace Prevail on Earth!

Re-Membering Ancient Grandmothers

Re-Membering  Ancient Grandmothers
----Inspired by the Teachings of Elizabeth A. Hin

The sun shone on a crisp Fall day,
and the wind blew so that leaves
danced as old friends, and eternal lovers.
Even now the music plays in my head.
A drum beats steadily
as bells create joyful melodies of Grace.

It was then that many were reborn.
Reborn with the understanding
that love is patience in the knowing
and feeling of humility, and compassion.

Many were re-born knowing
love is all there is, and ever was.

And therefore it is no surprise
that today  we find  ourselves
amongst the fallen red/orange/yellow/green leaves
and gather them tenderly
as if they are our most precious possessions.

For these leaves represent
the passage of time---a settling,
an understanding,
an appreciation of Grace.

Ancient Grandmothers are surprised, really,
that we don’t re-member
to fully embrace the breath of our hearts.

It is a breath as sweet as jasmine,
as salty as an ocean breeze,
as light and refreshing
as the smell of trees when it rains.
The breath is all things
that allow us a new understanding of the old.

We often have reason for celebration
for we are ancient in our desire,
in our faith,  and our understanding.

And re-member, since the beginning of time
Grandmothers have said that
peace is a pathway that lies
beneath each thought, feeling, and action.

Peace is an opportunity
to create a world of tranquility
filled with hope, and manifested by healing.

Peace is the smile of joy
on a child’s face as she or he
holds the hand of a grandparent
and adoringly  they say to eachother,
 I love you!

Peace is each of us re-visiting our anger
and forgiving ourselves through love.
Peace is honoring the healing process
and holding a space for the joy
that  can come after.

Peace is each of us walking tranquilly
with no guns, no weapons of  mass destruction,
and no more red buttons in the white house
created to annihilate the world.

Peace is hope, day and night
illuminated by hard work, and the quest
for cures of all the ills of our society.

Peace is illuminated by each step into grace
and the reconciliation of differences
that now serve to plant
new seeds in our Universal Garden.

The Ancient Grandmothers are surprised, really,
that we don’t re-member harmonics
as the flowers of Grace  which eternally
have formed new bouquets of hope,
of infinite healing, of courage,
of solutions to age old challenges.

These bouquets honor and salute
our entire sentient family
and reflect a unique understanding
of the future of the Universe.

Ancient Grandmothers
are asking us to become
more aware of a special sense of order.

Rebirth, transformations,
endings, beginnings again, and again
remind us that there is always cause for celebration,
always an opportunity to expand our vision,
and our hearts.

Ancient Grandmothers are asking
Us to pay more attention;
to walk in the field of miracles,
to embrace the newness of leaves
fallen with hope, appreciation and courage.

What if in this moment we imagine
a potential new healing
supported by angels, masters and spirit guides
as well as trees, mountains, oceans,
sea lions, eagles, doves, dolphins and whales.

Ancient Grandmothers tell us that
truth is the constant re-minder
and the unearthing in the Now.
truth is the intuition and courage
within each of us.

Truth is the desire to live, hope and dream
of love---of a tranquil world with opportunity,
healing, food, equity,
and the fulfillment of good dreams for all.

Truth is a new song created by the symphony.
The chords are stronger, the harmony intensified.
Surety is the reality.
Resistance too is a part of the song.
Together it all becomes a symphony of love
within the passage of time.

Love is traveling through unknown pathways.
Love is with new purpose.
Love is with new meaning.
It is a song where fear is transformed
into hope with the courage to take
a solo of compassion created by humility.

The symphony of love creates a
New Infinite Harmonic
that carries  us beyond; in this time,
and beyond, the beyond, the beyond!

Ancient Grandmothers remind us
that Joy is in the be-ing,
in the recognizing, in the acceptance of love.
As breathing creates the pathway
for the journey  of love
into new sound vibrations of  Harmonic Grace.

The sun shone on a crisp Fall day,
and the wind blew so that leaves
danced as old friends, and eternal lovers.

Ancient Grandmothers, and Grandfathers
are surprised; really,
that we don’t re-member harmonics
as the flowers of Grace  which eternally
have formed new bouquets of hope,
of infinite healing, of courage,
and solutions to age old challenges.

A Special Blog by

Melony McGant aka Miss Mellie Rainbow

Melony McGant, poet, storyteller, humanist and world lover of children lives on HOPE; works to breathe in love, and exhales fear (false expectations appearing real). She says "Perhaps our current challenges are wake-up calls for our collective awakening to truth." And she believes that the truth is, there is no need for our constant bickering, our disdain for eachother, for wars and killing, for world hunger, massive disease, for discrimination, subjugation, or oppression. She maintains that LOVE, even on a rainy day, is the answer to our dreams, our individual quests, and our future collective identity. "If we can learn to value our children, our elders, ourselves, and our Mother Earth=Heart, then surely we have the power to impact society and to create a world filled with JOY."

God's Voice
(Isaiah 48:17-18) Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer, The Holy One of Israel: "I am the LORD your God, Who teaches you to profit , Who leads you by the way you should go. {18} Oh, that you had heeded My commandments! Then your pe ace would have been like a river, And your righteousness like the waves of the sea [the River of the World, filled with high negative ORP and with a pH 9.5 for drinking to bring to the world.  "PAW is not a promise.  It is a Blessing!"  The truth, as Dave Gray knows it. Sewing the Seed of Peace

Today I am tirelessly doing my very best to prepare what could be one of the things I should have done a long long time ago. For days and nights I have scrawled on countless papers, tasted pencil leads and chewed on erasers. I didnt mind not getting enough sleep. I didn't mind the scorching heat as I travel along unshaded paths to carry the message.

To what do I owe this futility? To whom do I offer this opportunity? Will I still be around when it has grown majestically?

COMMENT by Prudence from South Africa

Wow...That's beautiful..
We all look forward to this feeling of accomplishments once we've archieved a particular goal..
Peacebuilding seems to be a goal that needs time, patience & dedication...
Who know's if it will be achieved and will we still be around to enjoy the fruits of our labour...
We'll keep working,for future generations.
This is a beautiful poem.
To Be One

I am the voice crying for urgent recognition.
I am the face unseen,
The voice unheard,
The goldmine undiscovered,
The vision yet to be realized,
The potential yet to be tapped,
The dream yet lived.

I am not the rage lining
The corners of the streets.
I am not the hunger,
The anger.
I am not the disease,
The poverty
Nor the song of no liberty.
I am not the threats and
The fret.
I am not the illusion,
No, not the discord.

I am the seed with the
Potential to grow and feed
a thousand mouth.
I am the one who brings smiles
Upon the once dry faces.
I am the one with the will power
To withstand the tempo of the
Hot day and the pelting
Fangs of the cold night.
I am the invaluable emerald
That adorns the streets of civilization.
I am time never to be stopped,
A star never to quench.
I am myself. I am one.

POEM AGAINST STIGMATIZATION IN CASE OF AIDS...

NO I DO NOT WANT TO DIE ALONE...

Dedicated to the victims of the AIDS.

  The chopper of the life

Has just fallen down on me

  Leaving me any respite

The summer is curiously cold.

Bonds of the life

Slowly untie themselves

  Nobody wants to know

If I want to live or to believe in it.

Alone in my corner

I tighten a recluse hand

Nobody dares to take it

By fear, so tender.

I approach the world

Who flees me and thunders me

Those which one believed friendly, love

Pass, going make a turn.

A prayer

A last from Earth

To my single refuge

Before the flood.

Their crocodile tears

With my death, tears useless

The odd pain Their glances.

  Not!

  Not!

  I do not want!

  Not!

  Not!

I do not want to die alone!

Like the day in the arms Cold twilight

I do not want to die alone!

I am the same one

  I am not different

As you I was child

In spite of my misfortune, I remain the same one.

Take my hand

A new history

On the ash of the other, a destiny

With more blue than of black

Give me

The smile that you gave me,

when I was me

Give!

Hours of the life

Tear the screen of the pain

Nothing can anaesthetize my fear

This fort relent of crimson.

  A certain hope

  In tomorrow

At the bottom of my hand

My heart to believe in it.

I do not want

Why me?

I cannot

Why you?

What about our hours of laughing

Our hours of living

All our free writings

This dash not to die.

A long poem

The last

Which will not be read

That I will have at least written

Share by all those Who sink in the silence of despair

Far from all glances

The miserly smile

I do not want!

THROUGH MARY’S WINDOW OF PANE

09-11-06

Mary was kept awake

Most of the night

By dreams of chaos and war

Slumber, then in and out,

A restless sleep

Her pain so deep

In Mary’s mind, a prayer so dear

A prayer to calm and cast out her fear

Her pillows contorted

Images so sorted

She tossed and tossed,

Her world was spinning round and round

Mary’s eyes opened slowly

Still with blurred vision

She gazed outside at the Cathedral Mission

A monument, so full of God’s Grace

Eternally now frozen in Sacred Space

A landmark within her

Now set forever

Outside Mary’s window of pane

Awakening, this morning

A missed embrace, from husband John Sr.

Could it have been an ominous warning?

Mary looked out, now in horror

As terror ignited the morning sky

Off in the distance

Cry’s of persistence

Mary’s mind was now racing

Thoughts of John had her pacing

America now awake

Instant media called to action

Each frame in a fraction

In words, now in pictures

For Heaven’s sake

A new form of earthquake

Struggling for words

Unable to speak

Mary recalls having such a good week

Beloved John’s fate

Now so uncertain

Way To soon

For the final curtain

Thinking of loved ones

They spoke on the phone

Remarking of tragedy

Affecting so many people

Grandfather had heard bells

That tolled from the steeple

Small pleasures he said

Are the treasures to hold onto

Now out on Mary’s balcony

Waters reflected upside down houses

Deafening sirens rang out from the distance

Soon to be heard

Across our World in an instance

Our country, now rising

Flags, red, white & blue were flying

Collectively our Nation was crying

As, in front of our eyes,

Our Heroes were dying

White clouds on the horizon

Etched Angels that soared

To comfort their spirits

To rest them in heaven

Sirens like Trumpets

Heard across ridges and plains,

And rivers and bridges

Now a changed skyline of steel and time

Humankind had crossed the line

A 9-11 impact etched forever in our mind

No ordinary day

Now awake with the world

John Jr. cried out

First low and soon higher

Tiny Jessica on queue

Now joined, like in choir

A ring on the phone

All raced to retrieve it

Her smile so wide

It was impossible to hide

Daddy’s ok, Jessica said with a sigh

As Angels now gathered close at her side

The morning Sun

Still would be shining

A question for God,

How come this Timing?

Our world lay in Vain

For who was to Blame

Would life ever be the same?

Outside Mary’s window of pane

Dedicated to the Memory of his Dear Brother.

by: hazem02@yahoo.com

dedicated to my dearest brother Bilal...

Hi all:
i dedicate this poem to all the human beings.. hope you all like it.
Best Regards
Naglaa Sarhan

A moment of truth

Life is a train
Life is not vain
Life is a gift from above
That u have to respect and love

You live to renovate
Not to aimlessly rotate
So please concentrate
And don't dominate
No need to frustrate
You just need to renovate

You just need a light
To help you find your insight
Which will reflect your inside

Keep on the good track
Or else!! you will find yourself at the back

We have to make POVERTY HISTORY
Because it's not a mystery
It's just our destiny
TO MAKE POVERTY HISTORY

SAVE THE CHILDREN NOW
And don't ask how
Devote yourself from now
To SAVE THE CHILDREN somehow

You may say i am looking for hope
But the devil will say nope
You know! you can find it through the globe

You may think of the consequence
Of such insistence
Which might make you say"what a big distance"
But inside you!!, great human consistence
You can reach any distance
With such insistence
And consistence

Suddenly you are a nominate
according to your death date
So what have you done for this date?
This is your fate my mate
That's why we need to co-operate
To help you pass peacefully  your final date

Excuse me ; i don't mean to frustrate
I just hope to MOTIVATE.

THE EARTH IS OUR MOTHER

The Earth is our mother;
a mother of pride,
a mother of forgiveness.
The Earth is our home;
filled with amazing things
just a touch away.
We, humans, sometimes forget
that the earth is our home,
our natural habitat.
Greed and Selfishness dominating our lives,
we are turning into insatiable people (found that word somewhere).
The earth cares for us,
nurtures us,
But why aren't we returning the favor?
We are acting rapacious (another one i didn't know),
ruining the earth for future generations.
But time is not up,
we still have a chance,
to preserve the earth,
for the future's time.

A poem for you:

By Donald Petersen

Flickering lights abound
in our dreams
in our sky
all around

Open eyes and mouths
listen for screams
taste, touch and tickle
like babes grasping cotton candy

our lives are
moment-less

filled with the need to be filled
our hopes
sustain us
