The global environment can survive only if we learn to live in peace and harmony with our fellow human beings. At the same time, as Dr. Jane Goodall says, "To achieve global peace, we must not only stop fighting each other but also stop destroying the natural world.".

Let's dream, plan and Do for a better world...
Let's make the year 2008 witness of our successful endeavors...
Let peace prevail as long as humanity...
Let's decorate the earth with joy and colors.
Come and pray to grow and succeed...
Think of humanity, talk for loyalty and faith.
Grow stronger to help the self and to help others…
A New beginning, a fresh thinking, a gentle breeze for better breath..
The new year beholds a lot of happiness and ever lasting joy.

A Poem of HOPE by
The sentiment of A Better Community for All (ABC4All)
Amit's poem is a perfect expression of the
HOPE that the future holds for the CELEBRATION OF ONENESS Movement.
Thank you for your great expression of what is possible in our world.

Melony McGant, poet, storyteller, humanist and world lover of children lives on HOPE; works to breathe in love, and exhales fear (false expectations appearing real). She says "Perhaps our current challenges are wake-up calls for our collective awakening to truth." And she believes that the truth is, there is no need for our constant bickering, our disdain for eachother, for wars and killing, for world hunger, massive disease, for discrimination, subjugation, or oppression. She maintains that LOVE, even on a rainy day, is the answer to our dreams, our individual quests, and our future collective identity. "If we can learn to value our children, our elders, ourselves, and our Mother Earth=Heart, then surely we have the power to impact society and to create a world filled with JOY."
you have more love to share.
Manifest your dreams and create loving memories.
you will be victorious!
you have value and are worthy to love and be loved!
a place of great beauty and contentment is YOU! So be zany with your love!

Today I am tirelessly doing my very best to prepare what could be one of the things I should have done a long long time ago. For days and nights I have scrawled on countless papers, tasted pencil leads and chewed on erasers. I didnt mind not getting enough sleep. I didn't mind the scorching heat as I travel along unshaded paths to carry the message.
To what do I owe this futility? To whom do I offer this opportunity? Will I still be around when it has grown majestically?

POEM AGAINST STIGMATIZATION IN CASE OF AIDS...
NO I DO NOT WANT TO DIE ALONE...
Dedicated to the victims of the AIDS. The chopper of the life Has just fallen down on me Leaving me any respite The summer is curiously cold. Bonds of the life Slowly untie themselves Nobody wants to know If I want to live or to believe in it. Alone in my corner I tighten a recluse hand Nobody dares to take it By fear, so tender. I approach the world Who flees me and thunders me Those which one believed friendly, love Pass, going make a turn. A prayer A last from Earth To my single refuge Before the flood. Their crocodile tears With my death, tears useless The odd pain Their glances. Not! Not! I do not want! Not! Not! I do not want to die alone! Like the day in the arms Cold twilight I do not want to die alone! I am the same one I am not different As you I was child In spite of my misfortune, I remain the same one. Take my hand A new history On the ash of the other, a destiny With more blue than of black Give me The smile that you gave me, when I was me Give! Hours of the life Tear the screen of the pain Nothing can anaesthetize my fear This fort relent of crimson. A certain hope In tomorrow At the bottom of my hand My heart to believe in it. I do not want Why me? I cannot Why you? What about our hours of laughing Our hours of living All our free writings This dash not to die. A long poem The last Which will not be read That I will have at least written Share by all those Who sink in the silence of despair Far from all glances The miserly smile I do not want!

THROUGH MARY’S WINDOW OF PANE
09-11-06

Mary was kept awake
Most of the night
By dreams of chaos and war
Slumber, then in and out,
A restless sleep
Her pain so deep
In Mary’s mind, a prayer so dear
A prayer to calm and cast out her
fear
Her pillows contorted
Images so sorted
She tossed and tossed,
Her world was spinning round and
round
Mary’s eyes opened slowly
Still with blurred vision
She gazed outside at the Cathedral
Mission
A monument, so full of God’s Grace
Eternally now frozen in Sacred
Space
A landmark within her
Now set forever
Outside Mary’s window of pane
Awakening, this morning
A missed embrace, from husband
John Sr.
Could it have been an ominous
warning?
Mary looked out, now in horror
As terror ignited the morning sky
Off in the distance
Cry’s of persistence
Mary’s mind was now racing
Thoughts of John had her pacing
America now awake
Instant media called to action
Each frame in a fraction
In words, now in pictures
For Heaven’s sake
A new form of earthquake
Struggling for words
Unable to speak
Mary recalls having such a good
week
Beloved John’s fate
Now so uncertain
Way To soon
For the final curtain
Thinking of loved ones
They spoke on the phone
Remarking of tragedy
Affecting so many people
Grandfather had heard bells
That tolled from the steeple
Small pleasures he said
Are the treasures to hold onto
Now out on Mary’s balcony
Waters reflected upside down
houses
Deafening sirens rang out from the
distance
Soon to be heard
Across our World in an instance
Our country, now rising
Flags, red, white & blue were
flying
Collectively our Nation was crying
As, in front of our eyes,
Our Heroes were dying
White clouds on the horizon
Etched Angels that soared
To comfort their spirits
To rest them in heaven
Sirens like Trumpets
Heard across ridges and plains,
And rivers and bridges
Now a changed skyline of steel and
time
Humankind had crossed the line
A 9-11 impact etched forever in
our mind
No ordinary day
Now awake with the world
John Jr. cried out
First low and soon higher
Tiny Jessica on queue
Now joined, like in choir
A ring on the phone
All raced to retrieve it
Her smile so wide
It was impossible to hide
Daddy’s ok, Jessica said with a
sigh
As Angels now gathered close at
her side
The morning Sun
Still would be shining
A question for God,
How come this Timing?
Our world lay in Vain
For who was to Blame
Would life ever be the same?
Outside Mary’s window of pane

i dedicate this poem to all the human beings.. hope you all like it. Best Regards Naglaa Sarhan A moment of truth Life is a train Life is not vain Life is a gift from above That u have to respect and love You live to renovate Not to aimlessly rotate So please concentrate And don't dominate No need to frustrate You just need to renovate You just need a light To help you find your insight Which will reflect your inside Keep on the good track Or else!! you will find yourself at the back We have to make POVERTY HISTORY Because it's not a mystery It's just our destiny TO MAKE POVERTY HISTORY SAVE THE CHILDREN NOW And don't ask how Devote yourself from now To SAVE THE CHILDREN somehow You may say i am looking for hope But the devil will say nope You know! you can find it through the globe You may think of the consequence Of such insistence Which might make you say"what a big distance" But inside you!!, great human consistence You can reach any distance With such insistence And consistence Suddenly you are a nominate according to your death date So what have you done for this date? This is your fate my mate That's why we need to co-operate To help you pass peacefully your final date Excuse me ; i don't mean to frustrate I just hope to MOTIVATE. |

THE EARTH IS OUR MOTHER
The Earth is our mother; a mother of pride, a mother of forgiveness. The Earth is our home; filled with amazing things just a touch away. We, humans, sometimes forget that the earth is our home, our natural habitat. Greed and Selfishness dominating our lives, we are turning into insatiable people (found that word somewhere). The earth cares for us, nurtures us, But why aren't we returning the favor? We are acting rapacious (another one i didn't know), ruining the earth for future generations. But time is not up, we still have a chance, to preserve the earth, for the future's time. Zach, Founder, Youth For Change International (YFCI) |
